Years ago visited several golf clubs closer to home and did nothing not realizing why I failed to pull the trigger. Stopped here on a lark to see if my mother's name yet was on a club champ plaque. Got through the gate OK and upon opening the clubhouse door immediately saw my mother's name as champ in 1981, may she rest in peace. I climbed the few steps to the main landing and picked up the bar and restaurant menu when a call from inside invited me in. I trepidatiously announced I was not a member and doubted I could get lunch, but the voice said, "You're right, but today you can. C'mon in." That was at 11:20 a.m. I lunched, watched the Yankees lose a game, was engaged in warm conversation, offered a drink or two, and was warmly received by strangers. I felt the warmth of home. In fact, I had withdrawal symptoms for the next 2 or 3 days wishing I could return. Within a week I joined. I've just done more for myself than I've done in over 7 years. The staff, the members, the chef, the food, the social events... I just finished hand writing a lengthy "thank you" note I'll post today. Can't get over the food. Pricing is fair, the atmosphere, majestic scenery, green green fairways, the vista, and most of all the warmth I failed to get when visiting other clubs. The Club has changed my life and to all I'm grateful. What a stroke of luck popping in unannounced. What a smart decision I made: 2 locker rooms; 2 pools; tennis; pickleball; golf, swimming, social events, live music, and to steal Burger King's jingle, "Have it your way." How glorious, serene. Panther Valley, you've embraced me and put a smile on my face. Thank you. I'm happy.Posted on Google Mike LeahyTrustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. Although I’m not a member here, it’s always a pleasure to play on this course. Well kept, plenty challenging and great views!!Posted on Google New Jersey Golfers AssociationTrustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. Panther Valley is close to perfect. The course itself is in a beautiful setting with rolling terrain and mountain views that show up throughout the round. It has a natural, tucked-into-the-land feel, and every hole looks and plays a bit differently. There’s a nice balance between scenic shots and holes that demand real focus. The design is really strong. It rewards smart golf more than pure power, with plenty of placement tee shots and approach angles that force you to think ahead. There are scoring chances, but nothing feels careless or automatic. It has that classic private club feel where the course challenges you in a fair way. Conditions were excellent. The fairways were well kept and consistent, and the greens rolled smooth and true with a nice pace. Everything felt maintained to a higher standard than most public courses, which stood out immediately. Pace of play was steady and relaxed. It never felt rushed or chaotic, and the round had a calm rhythm that made it easy to enjoy the course without distractions. Overall, it’s a very strong private course experience. The combination of setting, conditioning, and thoughtful design makes it feel polished and complete. It’s the kind of place where you finish the round thinking it would be great to get back out and play it again with a slightly better game plan.Posted on Google Shane SteinmanTrustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google.
